Anybody interested in this? My mom's gonna throw it out, and I haven't needed it in the 10 years since I moved out, so time to let it go....

AirtMattressor? Got space in the museum for it?

Wow...which Tandy is it?

The original Tandy Color? or is it one of the "1000" series?

Is it still running DOS and the old Deskmate Desktop?

Can you tell I used to sell those things "back in the day"? Smile)

COCO3 with RGB monitor. I'll have to go over there and catalog all that's left. I had both the COCO 2 and COCO 3 at one point, plus monitor, multi-pak interface, sound pak, floppy disk drive (doesn't work any more), and a slew of games.

I'll assume if it's a COCO, that it's a 5 1/4" floppy drive.

If the floppy doesn't work though, it's going to be hard pressed to be able to use it though, since everything ran from floppies then.

There WAS a guy on the "other forum" who was looking for old computer parts...he was building a museum or something (maybe that's the guy you mentioned before).

Also, if you list it on: www.usedwinnipeg.com you may get someone who will take it from you. I had listed an old PC once and had 4 or 5 people ask me if I had any other old parts/equipment.

GREAT idea for the monitor though...create a fishbowl out of it Very Happy. Saw that somewhere, found it really neat.

'Fraid not... while I already have a similarily equipped Coco 3, I won't have the room for two Sad

I've already had to have some stuff (mostly my "cluster" of older
pentiums) hauled away in order to make a little room to work.
Thanks for the offer though.

Try selling it on eBay - that rig would likely fetch you at least $200, as there is still an active Coco community out there.

Not necessarily - I have a 720k 3-1/2" drive on mine.

If
the floppy doesn't work though, it's going to be hard pressed to be

Nah, the PSU in the floppy drive is easily repaired, and
(working) 360k floppy drives are pretty easy to come by in the "retro"
market.

Yup, that was me - or rather the old me (conceitedjerk). Not
building a museum per se, I just refuse to believe the older stuff is
useless, and have proved they can still be used in a modern capacity
Cool

Yeah, the Macquarium. Stroke of genius, if you ask me!

Ah right, the 720kb instead of the 1.44Mb...I completely forgot about that little number.

I did mention the usedwinnipeg thing somewhere right? I know there's a guy on there who takes computers & parts and builds machines he donates to local schools & needy people.

Yeah, the Macquarium. Stroke of genius, if you ask me!

The first ones I've seen were YEARS ago, and were definitely PC Models.
PC Aquarium
I think someone ran with it and started making the MAC versions.

A year or so ago, a few friends and I were going to do something similar
, as well as selling used computers to fund our various projects, with
the ultimate goal of setting up a collective hackerspace in the
exchange.

Unfortunately, none of us could agree on anything, so the project is all but dead in the water...

The older all-in-one models (Mac, Mac SE, SE/30, etc) also make great small footprint doorstops! Laughing

I do have an old 15" monitor I need to get rid of.
Anyone on here have a use for that?

Works well...we just upgraded our computer and got an LCD now.
