unfortunately she lost all credibility for me when she brought up the "myth" about warming your car. She states that it is perfectly fine to run your car for 30 second and then drive.

Well the part about it not hurting your engine is fine.. But the part that these experts always seem to miss is.... THE FUCKIN WINDOWS ARE COVERED IN ICE AND SOMETIMES YOU NEED THE CAR TO WARM UP ENOUGH TO MELT THEM

damn asshat. even when not convered completely if the car is not warm enough just getting into it with a warm cup of coffee or a wet head will frick you over.

Are you aware of the invention called the Ice Scraper ? It is used to scrape the ice off your windows, no need to wait 30 min for them to melt.

One to two minutes should do the trick. UNLESS you have a car full of people then you will have to wait for it to warm up or deal with inside windows frosting up.

Park in the garage!

LD the inside windows freeze too sometimes and cannot be scraped properly. Plus even when the inside windows are not frozen, getting into that vehicle with wet hair or a cup of hot coffee your windows will fog up on you.

This is where a Safeway club card or Air Miles card or credit card comes in handy. Use it to scrape the inside of your window. It works, been doing it since 1989

Actually I have the best air conditioning unit on earth. Even in summer the AC keeps my windows at a balmy -30c
