Enough is enough already!

I guess there was waaaay just too much distance between the one on St. James near Polo Park, and the one by my work @ Notre Dame and Bangor.

Have you been to anywhere in Southern Ontario recently? They have Timmy's all over the place.

Dual drive thru!

Tim's will wind up making the Starbucks error - saturation which will cause resentment....over-branding and such.

Think of the progress....two lines = two different streets to screw up! lol

But seriously, if you think we have a Timmy's addiction here...wow. Seems Timmy's is the coolest place for teens and grandma/grandpa to work @ over there. After talking to family out there, yeah, it seems Timmy's doesn't have the same issue finding workers as it does in the province next-door.

And yeah, they'd have to in order to be able to support one of these @ every second block.

Around here it's a little different, not everyone has a problem getting out of their auto's to "go inside" to either order, or order and sit down to enjoy their coffee. Seems in the part of Ontario I was in, they are adverse to ever having to get out of their vehicles.

That probably explains why we don't have any of the dual drive-thru's around here....yet!

Progress indeed! With the amount of order-filling errors we've encountered going through Hortons drive-thrus, they will be able to screw up more efficiently than the competition!

lol!

Yes...but not the drug-induced version Tim's sells.

There's something in their store filters that makes it more addictive. I think they have it laced with something.

Probably true. I still believe that McD's puts an addictive additive into the Special Sauce. Can't see any other reason to keep going back.

There are a few Tim's directly across the street from each other in Toronto. That way they have traffic covered in both directions.

It's clear Tim's is NOT a fad eh? I never used to like their coffee when I lived in Toronto. I do like it now.

That's more than enough time!

Seriously though, I'll drink Horton's coffee if it's free. No great hatred of it, just prefer to make my own.

There was a time, about 10 years ago, that one could barely find a Tim Hortons in the greater Vancouver area. You had to drive to the outskirts, and they were always empty. Starbuckses graced every corner, every spare lot, every available inch of non-ALR space as far as the eye could see. On Robson street, there was even one block that had no less than 4 Starbucks locations, two of which were kitty-corner. Asking someone to meet you at Starbucks used to require a team of negotiators and GPS devices, because nobody knew just how many might be in a given area in a single day. The trendy-folk would shun the Starfucks, and head to what was promising to be the next great thing: Krispy Kreme.

Slowly, the Starbucks Megalopolygarchy receded, and plucky little Timmy Ho/Esso locations started springing up here and there. Then they morphed into TimHoWendys locations. Then...they mutated into vast numbers of solo franchise locations, much like everywhere in Ontario. Today, one cannot swing a proverbial cat and not hit at least two Timses. As for Krispy Kreme, they never did get the foothold in the market, and have a single, sad location in Surrey, where even angels fear to tread.
