Go for the Gold On-line Television Auction to be held in March 2011. This auction will be promoted throughout the week of March 7th - 13th
and featured on a special 2 hour Special Olympics program on Shaw TV
Channel 9. The On-line Auction will be hosted on our website – www.specialolympics.mb.ca. and will be highly publicized in the Winnipeg Free Press and on CJOB.

This online
auction is not only an important fundraiser for SOM it will also be
used to bring awareness to Special Olympics Manitoba and to five of our
athletes as they prepare to compete as part of Team Canada in the 2011
Special Olympics World Games in Athens, Greece in June 2011.

the online auction always has some good things and raises some good money.

off the top of my head things that have been "staple" items in the past

Balloon ride
Back yard BBQ ( beer, food and a BBQ)
goldeyes luxury box
moose luxury box
Dinner with the mayor
various golfing adventures
Fishing adventures ( with celebrity TV fish guys)
bombers luxury box
diamond rings
spa services.. etc.

The mayor dinner was at Hu's the year I bought it.. but I think last year it was at Hy's and included being picked up in a limo if memory serves.
