This number(50) of Kelvin Men that perished is remarkeable!

What a waste of 22 year olds!

Contribution to World War II Allied Forces

A number of Kelvin High School students enlisted to fight in World War II, more than fifty of whom were killed in action, inspiring the 2005 documentary, "The Boys of Kelvin High: Canadians in Bomber Command". The documentary was produced by Cliff Chadderton, a distinguished Canadian Forces infantry commander. Chadderton himself is a Kelvin High School alumnus. It honours the Kelvin students from Winnipeg who, even at their incredibly young ages, served in WW2.

Did you know?

On a single night, Bomber Command suffered more losses than did Fighter Command during the entire Battle of Britain.

Of every 100 airmen who joined Bomber Command, 45 were killed.
